Canadian Solar Modules and REFUsol Inverters
Converting these terminals to solar power generation is a significant step to reducing our carbon footprint, and has the dual benefit of reducing energy costs which helps us remain competitive.
Rob Estes, President & CEO of Estes Express Lines
Dynamic Energy recently completed two solar photovoltaic (PV) installations totaling 583 kW for Estes Express Lines. The installations included a 308 kW system at Estes’ Elkton, MD terminal and a 275 kW system at Estes’ Baltimore, MD terminal.
The projects will provide an estimated 85 percent of the current electricity needed by the two facilities. The Elkton terminal will produce 360,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually through 1,232 rooftop solar panels. In Baltimore, solar power will generate 321,430 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year through 1,100 rooftop panels. Combined, this is the equivalent of powering 76 homes annually.
