Sikking Farms Solar Launch Event

Sikking Farms Solar Launch Event

Vineland, NJ – March 20, 2012 – Dynamic Energy, a fully integrated energy solutions provider, and USDA are celebrating the completion of a solar array project on Sikking Farm, Incorporated. The farmland and nursery received a Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant in the amount of $114,730 which is 25 percent of the project cost. Additional funding in the amount of $330,000 was provided by Farm Credit East, ACA with a guarantee from Farm Service Agency.

This 122.2kW system is part of our REAP that is spurring economic growth here in the Garden State. The energy project consists of the installation of one rooftop, one carport and one ground mounted photovoltaic system. The project was designed, engineered and constructed by the Dynamic Energy team. When all three solar systems are fully operational, it will generate 98% of the electricity for the farm operation and is also pollution free.

Michael Perillo, CEO of Dynamic Energy, said, “Dynamic was thrilled to work with the USDA on this important project, and we congratulate Sikking Farms on their new solar system.” Farm Credit East is the primary agricultural lender in Southern New Jersey and worked in conjunction with Sikking Farms, USDA and Farm Service Agency to provide financing for energy saving ventures.

“Projects like these demonstrate our ability to help strengthen the economies throughout rural communities here in the Garden State,” added USDA Rural Development State Director Howard Henderson. “This project was directly responsible for saving 4 jobs. This is a great example of a public and private venture to enable a farm operation to improve its bottom line and help the environment.”
